We will inform you when files are there for you to see and you checking these boxes may disable your access altogether.

- Forgot password?
Click the Forgot Password link after clicking the log in link above. Note: the system will NOT email an address that is not in our system. If you don't get the password reset email, email the advisor you work with at GCD.
- Want to view these files on a smartphone or tablet?
- Can I share documents with others, outside GCD?
Yes. To share file(s), click on the file(s) to share > click Share > select to either email directly from the site or paste a link into an email > select Edit Message or Link Options to select methods of security > Send.
- What type of documents can be stored here?
Anything financial! All tax returns prepared by GCD or provided to GCD, Financial Life Planners (FLP), estimated tax info for the next year, source documents for tax returns, estate documents (wills, trust, POA, etc.), life insurance policies or any other documents that you send to us and request us to save here.
- How secure is this digital vault?
We use Citrix Sharefiles for all client storage. Click here for their security protocols.
- Don't institutions still require paper?
No! The PDF version of any document is accepted by virtually all banks, mortgage companies, the IRS, state governmental agencies and even the court system. Originals are no longer required to be retained.
Uploading FAQs
- Does GCD prefer I upload documents or email them?
GCD has no preference but uploading is secure and has no limits to the amount of files or their sizes. Emails are not secure and have size and quantity limits. Especially for documents with full social security or account numbers.
- What should be done to my files before uploading?
Remove any passwords; try scanning in black & white instead of color; keep all files separate by not combining; do NOT zip multiple files into one. Do NOT send files created with Mac programs like Pages or Numbers. We can only accept files created in Excel, Word or Adobe.
- Do I need to upload more than one time when sending documents?
No. All files can be uploaded at one time either by selecting all the files that are in a single folder OR by dragging them from a folder to the window on the site.
- Where exactly do I upload the files to GCD?
After logging into the Digital Vault, click the folder named Upload Files Only Here. Then click the blue plus (+) sign and either click to upload or drag files there. Do NOT create any subfolders once in this folder.
- How can I scan documents without having a scanner?
There are many phone apps that allow you to scan documents all into a single or separate files. GCD has had great success with SwiftScan.
